and now for a positive aspect of Ten-I-See. My aunt, honey and i went to the drive thru! a double feature none the less! for 5 bucks! and candy and soda TOGETHER was less than 5 bucks. amazing.
we saw the familiy stone and walk the line. Walk the Line was AMAZING!
miss sara jane - where are you in tn again?
That's right. and your first glimpse of the TN Edumacation system at work:
my hairdresser today : "so, you live in boston? where is boston anyway?" (knocks self out, argh!)
Other than that, it's been great to see honey and my mom. My mom and i made honey's peanut butter balls, they are the awesomeest! anyway, we were waiting for the chocolate to dry and my mom and i started to dance to dropkick murphys, and her dog joined in, and tripped my mother sending her flying. She was ok, and that made it hilarious.
also, honey is doing quite well with her knee - she's walking better than she has in years! Also, I got my hair cut and colored today - i shall upload pictures when either 1) i find the cord thingy or 2) get back to boston becuase i might not have PACKED the cord thingy
and - a little bit about the past weekend:
Laura is the bomb. Seriously. So is her man, and murph as well. Carrie also rocks all hell as a roommate. Tania is the sweetest person on the planet. Curious as to why these people rule? Read on my friends.
Laura, Mike (the man) and Murph got in Friday night late, and we stayed up a bit too long chatting, but it was all fun. Murph didn’t stay up, as he had already passed out on the way to Boston. Jameson was not his friend that particular night. Saturday we went to downtown crossing, had chowdah in fanueil hall (ok ok, I didn’t have chowdah, who are we kidding really? I had pizza, but THEY had chowdah) and then went to Newbury comics where Laura and I emulated Bono, and mocked world leaders. All in a day’s work.
Then it was off to fenway, where we putzed around there waiting for the show to start, which was AMAZING. Seriously people, Ducky Boys and Street Dogs and Nowhere USA – seriously good stuff. And the bands were super nice people.
I’m currently in the Logan airport writing this, Laura and Mike and Murph might be sleeping – or on their way to breakfast. I’m sad to leave them, as hanging with laura always rules. (come to find out they CLEANED!!!!!!!!! see why these people rock? Laura is indeed a rocking houseguest to have)
Carrie rocks as a roommate because she does. She’s all taking care of Laura and the boys, driving me to the airport, picking up Lisa (MY friend mind you) from the airport…..she should start a hotel and taxi service. But she just rules like that, and it’s one of the very many reasons I loves her! (yes kyle, deal with the fact that we’re very gay straight girls;)
Tania rules because she does. Not only did she send hugs my way via Laura, she saved me by proofing/editing a paper of mine. She rocks hardcore
so yea, my friends rule in general. I’m fairly lucky and thought I’d share!
whatever. Bill O'Reilly can suck it. There is NO war on Christmas for christ's sake.
and on a related note.....the SPIRIT of christmas is alive and well. Christmas isn't about a stupid holiday greeting at the grocery store, or canned carols that make me ill even before Thanksgiving. It's about a man picking up my keys in the street and tracking me down to give them to me. Not just "hey miss, you lost your keys" and then giving up becuase i had my ipod on and was immersed in the world of Pearl Jam...oh no, he was determined to get me my keys back. THAT'S the holiday spirit. not what to call a tree, or what you can sing in school, or any of that bull shit that fox news is calling an attack on christmas. just be good to one another. And that's my sappy post of the year.
